Ongoing support and relationships that extend far beyond your time in a program.
We meet you where you are, and help you get to where you deserve to be.
When you're a woman struggling with mental health issues, finding the right treatment program can feel overwhelming. There are countless options to sort through, and it's hard to know which ones will actually understand what you're going through versus simply moving you through a system. You've probably searched for help before, maybe even tried other programs, and walked away feeling like something was still missing — like you were treated as a diagnosis rather than a person.
At Aurora for Women, we built our mental health programs for women in Danvers, MA around what’s been missing from traditional treatment. We believe genuine connection isn’t a bonus to good care, it’s the foundation of it, which is why our clinicians take the time to truly understand each woman’s story, history, and goals before mapping out a path forward. Every program is personalized, recognizing that no two women experience mental health struggles in exactly the same way, and that meaningful healing can’t happen through a one-size-fits-all approach.
We also know that recovery doesn’t stop the moment a program ends, which is why our support is designed to extend well beyond your time with us. From aftercare planning to ongoing connection with our community, we’re committed to helping you carry what you’ve built here into the rest of your life. At Aurora for Women, you’re not just another client moving through treatment — you’re a woman who deserves care that sees you fully and stays with you for the long run.

Treatment at Aurora isn't about sitting in a circle reciting coping skills you'll forget by next week. It's about getting to the root of what's keeping you stuck—and building something sustainable from there.
Your first days with us focus on understanding your full picture. Not just your diagnosis, but your life. What’s happening at home? What relationships are draining you? What have you been carrying that no one has ever asked about? We take the time to understand because real healing requires context.
From there, your treatment plan is built around you—not a checklist. Every woman who walks through our doors has a different story, different triggers, and different goals. Your program reflects that.
Group therapy forms the backbone of our programming, but not the kind where you sit silently hoping no one calls on you. Our groups are small, intimate, and facilitated by clinicians who bring both professional expertise and lived experience into the room. You’ll find yourself in conversations that actually matter—processing trauma, practicing vulnerability, and learning from women who understand what you’re going through because they’ve been there themselves.
Individual therapy happens alongside group work, giving you private space to go deeper into your personal history and challenges. Your therapist works with you consistently throughout your time here, building the kind of relationship where real breakthroughs happen.
But healing isn’t just talking. Our whole-person approach means we address how your body holds stress, how your daily habits support or sabotage your mental health, and how your relationships either ground you or destabilize you. You’ll learn practical skills you can actually use when you leave—not theoretical concepts that sound good in a treatment room but fall apart in real life.
We know that life doesn't stop because you need mental health support. That's why we offer three levels of programming designed to provide meaningful treatment while respecting your real-world responsibilities.
Schedule: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday
Our Full Day Program offers the most intensive support for women who need consistent structure and daily connection. This isn’t about filling hours—it’s about immersive healing that creates momentum.
Your day includes multiple therapy groups, individual sessions, skill-building workshops, and time for genuine connection with other women in the program. The full-day structure works particularly well for women who have tried less intensive options without success, those in acute distress, or anyone who recognizes they need dedicated time and space to focus entirely on their healing.
Many women in our Full Day Program are navigating severe anxiety or depression, processing trauma, working through postpartum struggles, or managing the early stages of recovery from co-occurring substance use. The intensive nature of this program allows for deeper work and faster progress.
Schedule: Morning hours with flexible days
Our Morning Half-Day Program gives you focused therapeutic support while leaving your afternoons open for work, childcare, or other responsibilities. You start your day grounded and supported, then carry those tools into the rest of your life.
This program includes group therapy, individual sessions, and skill development—just condensed into a morning format. It’s ideal for women who are ready for meaningful treatment but can’t step away from their daily lives entirely. Many women transition into this program after completing our Full Day Program, using it as a bridge toward independence while maintaining clinical support.
Schedule: Afternoon hours with flexible days
The Afternoon Half-Day Program offers the same quality of care as our morning option, just later in the day. This flexibility matters for women with morning work schedules, school drop-offs, or other commitments that make mornings impossible.
Both half-day programs provide substantial support—this isn’t watered-down treatment. You’re still doing real therapeutic work, still connecting with other women, still building skills that will serve you long after discharge. The timing is simply adjusted to fit your life.
Designed by women who truly understand the lived experience behind healing.
A deeper approach that focuses on understanding, not just managing symptoms.
A space grounded in connection, where women feel supported every step of the way.
Ongoing support and relationships that extend far beyond your time in a program.
We guide our clients through every phase of treatment to ensure a seamless continuation of care.
Choosing mental health treatment is deeply personal. Women need more than a program that addresses symptoms—they deserve a space where their experiences are understood, their voices are heard, and their care reflects who they are as a whole person. Aurora’s women’s mental health programs in Danvers, MA, provide compassionate, transparent, and relationship-centered support shaped by both professional expertise and lived experience.
As a women-owned and operated program, Aurora understands the pressures, relationships, life transitions, trauma, and emotional challenges that can influence women’s mental health. From your first conversation through ongoing support after treatment, our team prioritizes trust, connection, and individualized care. Here are some of the qualities that make the Aurora experience different.
Our founders didn’t create Aurora from a business plan. They built it after years of working inside treatment centers and seeing what was missing. The women leading this program understand what it feels like to struggle, to seek help, and to leave treatment still feeling incomplete. That lived experience shapes everything we do.
From your first phone call, you’ll know exactly what to expect. We walk you through the process, explain what each phase of treatment involves, and keep you informed every step of the way. No surprises, no confusion, no feeling lost in a system that doesn’t communicate. Trust is built through honesty, and we take that seriously.
Being 100% women-owned and operated isn’t a marketing point—it fundamentally changes the experience. There are certain things you don’t have to explain here. Certain experiences that are simply understood. The environment, the approach, the conversations—everything is designed with women’s specific needs in mind by people who genuinely understand those needs.
One of the biggest failures of traditional treatment is the cliff that happens at discharge. You spend weeks building relationships and learning skills, then suddenly you’re on your own. At Aurora, your connection to this community doesn’t end when your program does. We stay in your corner because healing is ongoing, and support should be too.
We treat more than symptoms. Depression doesn’t exist in isolation—it’s connected to your relationships, your body, your history, your daily habits. Anxiety isn’t just a brain chemistry issue—it’s tangled up in how you move through the world. Our approach addresses all of it because that’s what creates lasting change.
We work with most major insurance carriers to help ease the costs associated with seeking help at our programs. We’ll walk you through your benefits so you can move forward with clarity and confidence.
You’ve probably been thinking about getting help for a while now. Maybe you’ve been telling yourself you should be able to handle this on your own, or that your struggles aren’t “bad enough” to warrant treatment. We hear this from almost every woman who walks through our doors—and we can tell you that reaching out is not a sign of weakness. It’s the first step toward becoming yourself again.
Contact Aurora for Women today to learn more about our programs and find out which level of care is right for you. We’ll answer your questions honestly, explain exactly what to expect, and help you determine whether Aurora is the right fit—no pressure, no judgment.
During your initial assessment, we'll discuss your current symptoms, daily responsibilities, treatment history, and personal goals. Together, we'll determine whether the Full Day, Morning Half-Day, or Afternoon Half-Day program best fits your needs. Many women start with more intensive support and transition to half-day programming as they progress.
Many women come to Aurora after other programs didn't create lasting change. Often, the issue isn't that treatment doesn't work—it's that the approach wasn't right. Our personalized, whole-person model addresses what's underneath your symptoms rather than just managing them on the surface. If you've felt unseen or unheard in treatment before, this experience will feel different.
Yes. Our half-day programs are specifically designed for women who need to maintain work, childcare, or other responsibilities. Many women in our Morning and Afternoon programs continue working throughout treatment. We'll help you find a schedule that supports both your healing and your real-world obligations.
Yes. Co-occurring substance use and mental health challenges often go hand in hand, and we treat them together rather than separately. Our integrated approach addresses both issues simultaneously because you can't fully heal one while ignoring the other.
Healing doesn't stop at discharge, and neither does our support. We help you build a sustainable plan for ongoing wellness and maintain connection with the Aurora community. You won't be dropped into the world without support—we stay with you as you transition back into daily life.
No. While we certainly support women in acute distress, our programs also serve those dealing with persistent struggles that haven't reached crisis level. If anxiety, depression, burnout, or other challenges are affecting your quality of life, you deserve support—you don't need to wait until things get worse.
